Monitoring Plan

The project has a monitoring plan for the entire project longevity of 90 years, as outlined in the Arva Carbon Ready USA joint project description and monitoring report.

Arva uses primary evidence, whenever possible, to monitor the project. When primary evidence cannot be obtained, Arva has procedures to leverage regional or remote sensing data to monitor activities resulting in removals/soil carbon sequestration.

When a grower engages with Arva to reduce their carbon footprint through agricultural land management practices, they sign a contract legally binding them to provide necessary data to ensure accurate crediting and monitoring. Arva will develop monitoring plans based on growers’ chosen practices and, where needed, provide training and guidance. To accomplish the monitoring plan, the grower will allow Arva to conduct monitoring activities, such as soil sampling at a minimum of 5 year intervals, on the enrolled acres, as required by the contract and in compliance with VM0042 v2.0. Growers and Arva Intelligence agree to notify each other of any deviations or problems with following the monitoring plan.
